exclusive panorama
the project for the layout of this garden, unique
in its position with a panoramic view of the sea, has kept
in mind two fundamental factors: the original gricultural
use of the land, which was still being practiced when the
property changed hands, and the cultivation of tropical
plants by the english family who acquired a large part of
the promontory in the 1800's one recalls the ancient
agricultural use of the land in the plantation areas as well
as in the layout of the steep slopes into the typical ligurian
terraces, which contain the citrus grove, the fruit orchard,
the ornamental native plants and a collection of exotic plants.
due to the extremely dry climate and the exposure to the winds,
there has been a selection of particularly resistant species
for the trees, and seeds imported from israel have been used
for the lawn. a system of cisterns for gathering rainwater has
been created to guarantee the necessary irrigation.
